John, You seem to have a lot of organizations in your portfolio of Trade organizations.
Where we are different in that we are here in Washington and everything we do is for the contractors specifically in Washington. We have direct representation here in Olympia and this gives us a direct conduit to the legislative process. And even when it does not all go our way at least we have a really good heads up as to what is coming down the pike. This is big because we are able to take action to combat these situations.
All of the organizations to which you subscribe are either national or regional and as such are able to provide many of the items of research we are not able to do but because we also belong to them also we have a lot of cross pollination of ideas and research.
We also have several functions locally where we are able to network with each other and share views and ideas.
We have a good solid Safety training program which is fully endorsed by L&I. We have a Safety Advantage program that allows us to monitor safety among any of the contractors that subscribe to the program, this is especially important for the smaller contractors who are not able to afford a full time safety officer, and now they know that are keeping their business in compliance and L&I like this set up, because it makes their job a lot more straight forward in that they know that if a contractor is in our program that contractor is more likely to be doing thing correctly therefore less citations.
We have a very user friendly web site as you have found out. This site is new and we are adding content almost daily.
